The Education and Equity Committee is pleased to bring Aboriginal Awareness Events to Vic!
For one day, on Wednesday Feb 24th:
Learn about Aboriginal Arts and Culture with Sharon Clarke, a local Aboriginal artist in Toronto. She will be teaching a Dream Catcher Workshop from 5:30 pm – 8 pm in Caffiends. All materials provided. Only 15 spots available so sign up in the VUSAC office beginning Monday! Free food at this event.
Come for a documentary screening of “Canadian Roots: Shielded Minds”. Join in the discussion with David Berkal and directors of the Canadian Roots Exchange about historical and current Aboriginal Social Justice issues. This event is from 8 – 9 pm in Caffiends. Free food will be served.

Round 2 of the Travel and Conference Fund is now open! If you are planning on attending a conference or participating in an initiative that requires traveling, check out this fund. Mike the Change

Mike the Change is an Open Mic Night in support of the Braclet of Hope Campaign

From Monday November 30th to Friday December 18th there will be donation bags in every residence and the VUSAC office. Floors/houses/commuter students will be competing so make sure that you drop your donations in your floor’s/house’s/VUSAC office (for commuter students)!
There will be prizes including a Pizza Party and trophies for the floor/house/VUSAC office with the most donations!
